As the Workforce Coordinator, you will be located at our Clients underground coal mine in Moranbah, QLD.  Your primary focus will be the manning, rostering and logistics associated with our large underground workforce.  You will manage key relationships with both our client and our suppliers, and most importantly our employees.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Acting as a primary administrator handling all site related admin queries form our employees incorporating safety, pay and general employee matters;
  • Work with the Recruitment & Onboarding teams to ensure effective recruitment, selection and mobilisation processes are utilised to secure the most suitable talent, and ensure the site achieves its business objectives without disruption;
  • Managing effective communications with our workforce on all site related matters
  • Maintaining and updating site manning schedules and rosters
  • Ensure all site matters are tracked in real time in our CRM
  • Build and foster strong relationships with client HR Team

In order to be successful in this role, the chosen candidate will possess the following:

  • Reside in Moranbah or the surrounding areas
  • Hold a team focused, yet autonomous outlook and understands business drivers and client needs
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and effectively manage deadlines

  • Assist with support of Microsoft SQL server.
  • Responsible for the development of Intranet and Intranet based helpdesk system

Your Profile

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience in a similar position and have key competencies in the following:

This role reports to the Human Resources Manager where you will be responsible for providing support in various Human Resources (HR) and Work Health & Safety (WHS) activities.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Assist with the co-ordination of all WHS issues, including workers compensation, return to work, injury management, management of all COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, incident and injury reporting, safety and hazard management, etc.
  • Support the implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and be directly involved the hiring
  • Coordinate and conduct induction programs for new employees, in consultation with line managers
  • Maintain employee records and mandatory competencies according to policies, and legal requirements
  • Prepare new employee files
  • Back up and holiday relief processing end to end payroll
  • Provide HR support to employees as required
  • Serving as the point of contact person for all new employee questions
  • General administration duties
