Our Client is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to enhancing relationships within families and their communities in order to foster personal and social wellbeing.

They are looking for an HR Officer / Assistant to support the existing HR BP in transaction HR tasks including onboarding, contract generation and working with the newly implemented HRIS. This is a great opportunity to work "under the wing" of a successful HRBP and learn from the best. 

There are a number of larger project underway including some significant Change Management projects and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work directly on these new and exciting projects.

Key position Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in the recruitment process, including arranging interviews, reference checking, immigration checks and maintenance of employment documentation.
  • Maintain the integrity of their recruitment system and HRIS system.
  • Process new employee onboarding and current employee change of conditions.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of HR strategies, initiatives, reports, projects and procedures 
  • Contributing to the development of HR forms, templates and other documents.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, company and regulatory standards relating to HR & Safety.
About You:
  • Proven experience in an HR administration role
  • Experience and understanding of Australian HR systems and standards
  • Flexible and adaptable to a changing and growing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly and effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

NSW Government Agency is looking for a HR Project Manager to join their team in the CBD of Sydney. This role will support Corporate and Strategic Projects. 

About the role: 

  • Managing the organisation design work stream of the wider organisational transition program comprising complex and sensitive HR projects  

  • Developing agency-wide change management plans and strategies to ensure outcomes are achieved. 

  • Managing project governance processes to ensure management of timelines, resourcing, risks, issues and project interdependencies. 

Essentials: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in organisational change management utilising a recognised change methodology to identify and deliver effective organisational change management activities.  

  • High level of experience in strategic and innovative project management, and superior understanding of project methodologies, processes and procedures 

  • Significant management experience in corporate governance, risk management, business continuity management and/or compliance within a large complex business. 

  • Knowledge of regulatory topics, risk and resilience assessment methodologies, risk and resilience mitigation and measurement techniques against approved tolerances, continuous risk and resilience management and process improvements and working cooperatively with management.  

  • Good understanding of the principles of, and contemporary approaches to project and program management, benefits realisation, risk management and quality assurance

  • You will demonstrate significant experience in a People and Culture Business Partnership role or be ready to take that next step
  • You will have a Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce and/or Human Resource Management
  • You will have high level written and verbal communication skills
  • You will have the demonstrated experience and ability to interpret Awards and IR/ER issues and manage investigations
  • You will have experience in talent acquisition and recruitment to support us hiring and developing the right great people

Your key responsibilities will include;
  • Manage the P&C inbox responding to queries;
  • Assisting with recruitment, posting adverts, phone screening;
  • Prepare BAU, ad-hoc and quarterly HR reports for the HR team;
  • Contract generation, variation letters, changes to employment;
  • Support the Head of People and Culture with diary management and provide the P&C team with reports and documentation management;
  • Perform general HR lifecycle support and assist with administrative duties in the functions of workplace health and safety, learning and development, performance management and remuneration and benefits;
  • Ensure all employee records are up to date;
  • Helping/coaching managers through ELMO - building their capability and providing administration access support. 
The ideal candidate for this role would have;
  • Understanding of HR legislation and practices;
  • Demonstrated experience with P&C procedures and cyclical P&C processes;
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise own workload;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Good communication and stakeholder management with the ability to influence;
  • Strong time management;
  • Sound Microsoft word and Microsoft Excel skills.
The company is located in Paramatta (WFH for the foreseeable future – requirement to go into the office as required).
